Project Management

We are proud of our project management methodology, which combines the very best elements of both Agile (SCRUM) and PRINCE2 methodologies.

The nominated Project Manager takes full responsibility for the successful delivery of each project to schedule and to budget. The project as a whole is overseen by a Project Steering Group, who meet at regular intervals to review project process.

The project is constantly monitored by the Project Manager, through daily updates with the project team. A close vendor-client relationship is maintained throughout the project’s lifecycle, and beyond project closure.

Semantico continues to be closely involved with the ongoing support, the future development and enhancements of customers’ products, all of which are managed using the same methodology.

The key to good project management: communication

The Semantico project management methodology is specifically designed for collaboration. Dates for liaison with client representatives are planned well in advance so progress is continually demonstrated. Our approach lets you know know well in advance when you need to commit resources to your project. This naturally reduces project risk as all parties are always well prepared to handle each stage in the process.

Liaison with client representatives will be managed on a day-to-day basis by the respective project managers from each party. It is expected that communication will happen every day via tele or video conference, email and through the Semantico project portal. In addition, a communication strategy will inform inter-partner communications.

We provide project management tools to enhance the project process. These tools have been been improved over time and now represent a massive boon in using us as your development partner.

The Semantico project management portal, based on the Basecamp system from 37 Signals, is a fully-fledged collaboration system allowing messages, discussions, files and documents to be stored in a central location.

Centrally storing project collateral improves the communication and collaboration of the two remote teams and mitigates against changes of personnel, absence and storage problems upsetting the progress of the project.

The Semantico project portal is an intuitive system and is very easy to use. Our clients have all expressed a liking of the system as communication, project management and collaboration are all greatly increased through its adoption.
