ALPSP: web or native apps?

I was at ALPSP last week and lucky to share a platform with Outsell’s Mark Ware and RSC’s Will Russell during which we discussed opportunities for scholarly publishers with regard to mobile apps.

You can download a PDF of my presentation and you can read the relevant ALPSP blog post online.

The video of the presentation has not yet been released by ALPSP but keep an eye on their site – I’m sure it will appear soon.

In the meantime, here’s two interesting posts that contribute well to the broader native vs web app debate.

A thoughtful post that concludes as I did – that ‘maybe’ is a valid answer and a post that has rather more hubris from Mashable.
